With a recent $50-million financing at a $1-billion valuation, Krutrim became India's first AI unicorn in 2024. The AI chatbot, also named Krutrim, is the company's first product, powered by its multilingual large language models. Krutrim's AI models can understand over 20 Indian languages and generate text in 10 languages. The startup plans to introduce a more sophisticated version, Krutrim Pro, in Q4 FY24, which will be multimodal and possess advanced problem-solving capabilities. Krutrim aims to expand into AI infrastructure, data centers, server and edge computing, and the manufacturing of AI-optimized silicon chips.
